The Wodlosero ( Russian Водлозеро , Finnish Vodlajärvi ) is a lake in the southeast of the Russian Republic of Karelia in the Pudosch district .
The lake is located in the catchment area of Lake Onega . The water area is 322 km². Including the islands, the total area is 370 km². There are more than 190 islands in the lake. The water level can fluctuate up to 2 m. It is 136 m high, 36 km long and 16 km wide. The maximum depth is 16 m, the average depth is 3.1 m. The water temperatures reach 22-25 ° C in summer. The lake is covered by an ice sheet between November and early May.
The catchment area of the lake covers 5280 km². The most important tributary is the Ileksa . There are two drains on its east bank. The Suchaja Wodla running north and the Wama running south . The rivers merge east of the Wodlosero to form the Wodla , which flows first to the south and then to the west to Lake Onega .
The lake is surrounded by coniferous forests (spruce, pine, larch) and swamps.
The Wodlosero is rich in fish. There are u. a. the following fish species in the lake: vendace , coregonus , pikeperch , bream , aland , burbot and smelt .
Lake Wodlosero has been part of the Wodlosero National Park since 1991 .
