Natolin Palace and Park Complex (Potocki Palais)

Natolin is known for its palace. Originally King Jan Sobieski's pheasantry was located here . On behalf of Prince August Aleksander Czartoryski , the German-born architect Szymon Bogumił Zug built a small classical palace there between 1782 and 1784 , which was rebuilt several times in the 19th century. The surrounding forest was turned into an English landscape park, in which there is also a tomb for Natalia Sanguszko, b. Potocki, after whom the place was named - when she was born. The palace was destroyed in the Second World War . After the later construction, it has housed part of the College of Europe since 1993 (the other is in Bruges ).
