The Natural Energy Ltd was an electricity supply company with headquarters in Grenzach-Wyhlen with legal form of a joint stock company , which is 100% in the property of the energy services holding company was located. The company was founded in 1998 by Kraftwerk Laufenburg AG (KWL) and Krafttransmission works Rheinfelden AG (KWR). After KWL had acquired the 100% stake in KWR in 2003, the parent company was renamed Energiedienst Holding. The majority of the Energiedienst Holding is owned by EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg .
NaturEnergie AG was a sales company within the Energiedienst group and had specialized in the sale of green electricity in Germany. The company was certified by TÜV Nord and the NaturEnergie Gold product was certified by the Grüner Strom label .
Naturenergie AG was merged with Energiedienst AG on November 1, 2016. Energiedienst AG sells electricity from renewable energies as well as climate-neutral gas under the “Naturenergie” brand.
According to its own information, the company supplied around 300,000 private and business customers. According to the reporting stipulated in Section 52 of the Renewable Energy Sources Act , the following electricity sales were reported:

NaturEnergiePlus is the brand name under which NaturEnergie + Deutschland GmbH (asister company of Energiedienst AG basedin Mühlacker ) sells electricity from hydropower and gas from the North Sea to over 50,000 customers. EnBW is behind the brand.
