Schwagloch natural monument (2.2.2.5)
The Schwagloch natural monument (2.2.2.5) with a size of 0.19 ha is located about 500 m east of Thülen in the urban area of Brilon . The area was designated as a natural monument (ND) in 2001 with the Hoppecketal landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The natural monument is surrounded by the open spaces nature reserve east of Thülen . The Schwagloch natural monument (2.2.2.4) is only about 500 m to the east .
The ND Schwagloch (2.2.2.5) is one of the five natural monuments in the Hoppecketal landscape plan which were set as karst phenomena . There are three swallow holes and two sinkholes . In the karst phenomena shown as ND in the Hoppecketal landscape plan, it is forbidden to fill, fill, excavate, excavate or change the shape of the ground in any other way.

The Schwagloch (2.2.2.5) is located in the middle of agricultural areas. The immediate area is used as grassland. The slopes of the ND are covered with trees. The Schwagloch is formed by a cauldron about 10 m deep. Parts of the original tributaries from the south-southeast direction have been buried in the past.
