Wilster Natural History Museum

The Wilster Natural History Museum is a local history museum in Schleswig-Holstein that has existed since 1982 . It is located in the historic warehouse next to the old town hall in the center of Wilster .

On three levels, simulated biotopes provide information about the fauna and flora of the Wilstermarsch.

history

The warehouse of the old town hall from 1585 was originally used to store goods. After the building was renovated in 1997, the museum, which had been in existence since 1982, was reopened; in 2006 the top floor was expanded and the exhibition expanded.

Organizational matters

The museum is run by the Naturschutzbund and the Hegering Wilstermarsch hunters . It is open every 1st and 3rd Saturday morning from March to September. Admission is free.
