The Naval Ordnance Research Calculator ( NORC ) is a supercomputer for military purposes completed by IBM in 1954 , developed on behalf of the United States Navy and also used by the National Security Agency (NSA).

Byron Havens was the technical director of development (1950 to 1954) .
