Navigenics was an American biotechnology company based in Foster City , California. It offered private individuals a genetic analysis of their genome . The company was founded in 2006 by oncologist David Agus . The analyzes focus on health risks. In July 2012 it was announced that the company would be acquired by Life Technologies . From August 3, 2012, orders will no longer be accepted. The databases will be deleted in 2015.
