Nawidemak

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nawidemak was a ruling Nubian queen in the first century BC.

Nawidemak is mainly known from her pyramid Bar 6 at Mount Barkal , in whose chapel she is mentioned. However, her name has not been fully preserved, so the correct reading was controversial for a long time. Her fully preserved name also appears on the basis of a gold statue on which she is also referred to as the qore - king. A person named Nawidemak is now also known as the mother of the owner of the pyramid Beg N2 in Meroe . However, it is unclear whether she is Queen Navidemak.
