Nawuri is the language of the Nawuri people in Ghana with only 14,000 speakers (2003 GILLBT ) in the central east, mainly on the west bank of the Oti River at the Volta Reservoir .
Nawuri comes closest to the Gikyode language . Communication with Chumburung is not possible. The greatest lexical correspondence is found with the Buipe dialect of the Gonja language (72%).
