Nayif ar-Radschub
Naïf Radschub ( Arabic نايف الرجوب, DMG Nāyif ar-Raǧūb ; also: Nayef Rajoub ; * 1958 in Hebron ) is a Palestinian politician ( Hamas ) and Minister for Waqf and Religious Affairs. His older brother Jibril Radschub is a member of Fatah .
Life
Naïf Radschub has been a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council since January 2006 . On June 29, 2006, he was arrested by Israel as part of " Operation Summer Rain " in order to be exchanged for the kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit .
On June 20, 2010, Naïf Radschub was released from custody. “After Shallit's kidnapping in June 2006, Israel arrested more than 60 Hamas officials in the West Bank. There were numerous parliamentarians among them. Currently, there are nine MPs in Israeli custody, "the reports to Christian media group KEP belonging Israel network .
