Hans-Joachim Kamp

Hans-Joachim Kamp (* 1948 in Hamburg ) is a German manager. He is chairman of the supervisory board of Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH.

Career

After studying business administration at the University of Hamburg , Kamp joined Philips in 1975. He initially worked at the German headquarters in Hamburg in various functions in market research, sales, marketing and advertising. In 1990 he became a member of the executive board of Philips Consumer Electronics Germany. In 1994 he took over the management of sales and in 1998 the management of Philips Consumer Electronics in Germany. In 1999 the supervisory board of Philips GmbH appointed him managing director of the company. In 2005 he also became management spokesman for Philips GmbH. In May 2009 he withdrew from the operative business. As the successor to Walter Conrads , he took over the chairmanship of the supervisory boards of Philips Deutschland GmbH and Philips Technologie GmbH from June 2010 to June 2018.

In addition to his professional activity, Kamp also took on various voluntary functions in business associations. He was Vice President of the Central Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry (ZVEI), from 2004 to 2014 supervisory board of Messe Berlin and chairman of the board of trustees of the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (EAR). He is also chairman of the supervisory board of the society for entertainment and communication electronics (gfu).

Honors

  • July 2, 2010: Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany
    for his commitment to the city of Berlin and his commitment to numerous honorary posts
