The Nde language (also called Nde-nsele-nta ; ISO 639-3: ndd) is an ekoid language spoken by a total of 19,500 speakers (1987) in the Nigerian state of Cross River .
The language has a total of three dialects, these are Nde (12,000; also called ekamtulufu, mbenkpe, udom, mbofon or befon ) with 60% speakers, Nsele (3,000) and Nta (4,500; also called atam or afunatam ).
Within the Niger-Congo language family, the language belongs to the group of southern Bantoid languages .
