Nehaj Fortress on Mount Nehaj, landmark of Senj city

Nehaj is a mountain near the town of Senj in northern Croatia .

The name Nehaj comes from the Croatian Ne hajati , which could be translated as don't worry or don't care .

The name comes from the Uskoken , a military organization of Hajduken who built the Nehaj fortress on it . The reason for the naming was to give the residents of Senj the feeling of security if they had to retreat to the fortress in the event of threatened fighting.
