Neko Majin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neko Majin ( Japaneseネ コ マ ジ ン) is a manga by Akira Toriyama . The manga includes 8 stories that Toriyama drew at irregular intervals between 1999 and 2005. In Neko Majin Z , the author parodies his most successful manga Dragonball .

action

The story tells all sorts of fun experiences from the Neko Majin breed, a group of cats who have a little experience with magic but are more interested in jokes, pranks, and martial arts. Neko Majin Z is about Z , a cat-like version of Son Goku, with the Nyoi-bo wand and attacks like Neko-Hameha . Other similarities to Dragonball emerge during the plot with Kuriza - the son of Freezer, a villain from Dragonball Z - a fat Super Saiyan named Onio. Even characters from Dragonball like Vegeta, Majin Boo and Son Goku have their appearances. Despite the many references to Dragonball , the series is not a continuation or addition to the manga.

Although Dragon Ball and Neko Majin no great connection have each other, some were references to Neko Majin Z as Easter Eggs of the video game in the Japanese version Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 used.

Manga

While the three regular Neko Majin chapters appeared in Japan in the manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump , the Neko Majin Z series was published in its monthly offshoot Monthly Shōnen Jump . In 2005 an anthology was published that contains all eight stories.

In Germany, Carlsen Verlag published the manga in the manga magazine BANZAI! . Six Neko Majin chapters were published in issues 8 to 10 and from 04/2004 to 06/2004 . Carlsen published the anthology in paperback and color pages in July 2007.
