Nekkudim

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nekkudim or Nekudim is a term from the Kabbalah . It describes a phase within the divine creation process in which individual, independent points ( Hebrew Nekkudim ) were arranged one above the other. These points were characterized by independence and selfishness. At a later point in time the world of the Nekkudim was destroyed, whereupon the individual points in the universe were scattered and materialized in a physically recognizable manner.

In Hebrew linguistics, the related terms Nikud and Nekkudot are used.
