nello is a paid online service for the transmission and recording of TV and radio channels. Various sets with different channels are available depending on the desired number of channels and subscription duration. The image ratio can be individually adjusted as standard ( 4: 3 or 16: 9 ), and a soft focus for better image quality and a recording function are included in the basic set. Independent tests confirm that nello has good transmission values for picture and sound. Since nello is chargeable, there are no commercial breaks when starting or changing channels. The nello service is received via the browser as a flash stream with the H.264 standard.
Programs can be recorded and downloaded on nello using the included recording function.
history
ADSL.TV, founded in 2004, was the first Swiss streaming portal for real-time television. The nello portal emerged in 2008 from a further development of ADSL.TV. Today nello has around 25,000 registered users.
Availability
At the moment nello's services are only available in Switzerland.
