National Salon Budapest
The National Salon ( Hungarian : Nemzeti Szalon ) was a space for art exhibitions in Budapest .
history
In response to the conservative art shown in the Kunsthalle Budapest , the Society of Hungarian Artists was founded . The building served as the society's exhibition space. In 1903 the painter Károly Ferenczy was the first to exhibit his works (including Die Malerin , 1903) and later artists from MIÉNK . Numerous other important exhibitions were held. An exhibition by Agost Bayer took place from January 17 to 23, 1927 . In 1949 the company dissolved.
