Nominal value of thermal conductivity

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nominal value of the thermal conductivity (sign: ) is a term from the construction industry , an indication of building materials , in particular thermal insulation materials , according to the European Construction Products Regulation in accordance with EU - standards . It is determined in connection with the CE mark and must be shown on the product when it is placed on the market.

This is only a statistical value 90/90 based on the respective European product standard. According to German building law, it may not be included directly in the building physics calculation, but requires a safety discount of 20 percent . According to DIN 4108-4, products marked in this way are designated as belonging to Category I. The calculated value λ of the thermal conductivity as a rated value is determined according to this standard .
