Neogarrettismo ( Portuguese for "neogarrettism", "neogarrettism") is a term from Portuguese literary history .

Explanation

It is named after the Portuguese playwright and poet Almeida Garrett , who is considered the most important and best-known representative of literary romanticism in Portugal . The Neogarrettismo is the Portuguese variant of the Neoromantik or late Romanticism. Major representatives were António Nobre , Manuel da Silva Gaio , Carlos Malheiros Dias and Guerra Junqueiro . It was mostly used in poetry. The term was founded by the Brazilian writer Alberto de Oliveira . Neogarrettismo also has strong nationalistic tendencies, represented by authors such as António Sardinha , Afonso Lopes Vieira and António Correia de Oliveira .
