The Tourliner is a coach that has been manufactured by today's company MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG since 2003. It was initially produced in the Pilsting plant, and is currently being produced in the Ankara plant. It is produced in the same production as the MAN touring coach series R07 to R09 and is technically similar to them.

Versions

The bus is available in three different sizes. The smallest version of the Tourliner is 12 meters long and 2.55 meters wide and 3.8 meters high and has space for a total of 49 people. The small three-axle vehicle or Tourliner C is 13.26 meters long, 2.55 meters wide and 3.8 meters high and has space for 55 people. Tourliner L is 13.8 meters long and 2.55 meters wide and 3.8 meters high and has a total of 59 seats.

A new model of the Tourliner was presented at the IAA 2016. Production now takes place in Turkey. As a 2-axle model, it is available in 12.1 and 13.1 meter versions, as a 3-axle model in 13.4 and 13.9 meters.

Technical specifications

All versions of the bus have a 400 (optionally 525) liter fuel tank and two doors. The bus is powered by a MAN in- line six-cylinder engine which, depending on the model selected, has an output of between 294 kW / 400 hp and 324 kW / 440 hp. The bus meets the emission standard Euro 5 / EEV without a SCR - exhaust aftertreatment to rely. From 2014 the vehicle was equipped with a Euro 6 engine.

The vehicles are supplied with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, but are also available with an automated 12-speed manual transmission of the MAN TipMatic Coach type (a version of the ZF AS-Tronic). The bus is braked by a disc brake system with EBS on each axle.

The vehicle is also equipped with ESP as standard .
