Netafim ( Hebrew נטפים) is an Israeli company and one of the world's largest manufacturers of artificial irrigation systems . The shareholders are Permira (61%) and the kibbutzim Chazerim (33%) Magal (6%).

history

From 1960 to 1965 Simcha Blass developed drip irrigation in Israel . In 1965 he founded the Netafim company with the help of Kibbutz Chazerim. In 2011 the majority was taken over by the private equity company Permira.

In 2017, Netafim was taken over by the Mexican chemical company Mexichem .
