Netorare

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Netorare ( Japanese 寝 取 ら れ , dt. " To be relaxed "), often abbreviated as NTR , is a genre in pornographic anime and manga ( hentai ). It describes actions in the course of which one of the partners from a love relationship cheats and this has to be endured by the lover, less often the loved one, powerless as a spectator. It is common in manga, anime, and computer games and is often considered controversial.

Grammatically, netorare is roughly the nominalization of the passive form of the verb netoru , which means “jmd. to relax ”or literally“ to sleep (with someone) and to steal them from a partnership ”means. As a result, works are referred to in which the protagonist has to passively experience relaxation. If the protagonist is the one who actively relaxes, the genre is called Netori (" relax "), although this is not always handled consistently.

Framework for action

A common hook for acts in this genre are young married couples and couples who are about to confess their love to each other, with the focus or emphasis on the purity of the relationship or the partner. To simplify the description of the process based on this, the much more common scenario, the “woman cheating”, is examined more closely.

Following the introduction, which describes the couple, their relationship and environment, a situation arises in which the partner either voluntarily engages in a sexual act with another person or is forced to do so. Typical scenarios include a reunion with an old school friend, a secret relationship with the partner's best friend, submission to a superior, or rape by a family member or stranger. The act itself is illustrated in such a way that this “forbidden love affair” is perceived as much more intense by her. In particular, topics such as B. the penis envy picked up, while the love partner left behind becomes a passive witness as she gives in to it increasingly unrestrained. Be it that he stands shocked on the doorstep, overwhelmed and tied up sitting next to it, or that he gets to see this via video transmission.

The climax of the plot is the moment when the woman turns away from the man and reveals to him that sex outside of the relationship is much better and that she can therefore no longer love him. This can happen directly during the act or later during a further act with her original partner, whom she does not find satisfactory. Their reactions range from absent-minded devotion to mockery of the inferior partner.

Relationship with BDSM

The works of the Netorare genre are aimed at a target audience whose male part is referred to as cuckold in the BDSM scene - a man who experiences a gain in pleasure when cheating on his partner. In the genre itself, however, the cheated partners are usually portrayed as suffering in order to increase the effect.
