Reudnitz is a district of the rural community Mohlsdorf-Teichwolframsdorf in the district of Greiz in Thuringia .

location

Reudnitz lies northeast of Mohlsdorf and southeast of the forests around Greiz and Werdau near the border with Saxony . The provincial road 1086 opens up the town in terms of traffic with a connection to the federal road 94 . The rural place has areas in its corridor in the Thuringian slate mountains .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1269. In 2012, 950 people were registered in the district. There is a Christian holiday resort Haus Reudnitz in the village. The Mohlsdorfer history books report on the manors in Ober- and Unterreudnitz.

On October 1, 1922 Reudnitz was with Herrmann Green to Mohlsdorf incorporated. With effect from August 1, 1924, Reudnitz became an independent municipality again; however, the districts of Haardtberg and Fuchsloch remained with Mohlsdorf.
