New movement for the future

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The new movement for the future , short- ABZ , is a 1998 Vorarlberg founded Labor faction . The movement's chairman is Adnan Dincer (born December 1, 1968 in Turkey). He has lived in Vorarlberg since childhood.

Chamber of Labor elections

The movement, initiated by immigrants of Turkish origin, attracted media attention when, one year after its foundation, it won 5 of the 70 seats in its first position in the AK election in Vorarlberg. This success of a list mainly carried by migrants in 1999 represented a political novelty in Austria. Also in the following elections for the Chamber of Labor in 2004 and 2009, the NBZ managed to enter the plenary assembly of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Labor with the last 4 mandataries.

State election 2009

After the NBZ was able to achieve such successes in the AK elections, there were considerations to be included in the regional elections in Vorarlberg in 2009 as a separate list. This led to a prior public controversy. On April 2, however, the movement's chairman, Adnan Dincer, announced that the NBZ would not take part in the state elections. He justified this by saying that a polarizing and populist election campaign should be avoided as far as possible.

Nevertheless, the NBZ ultimately competed in an alliance called Die Gsiberger together with four other small groups in the state elections. The common goal of the group was to offer disadvantaged and discriminated people in Vorarlberg a political platform. The NBZ chairman Adnan Dincer was placed second on the list of Gsiberger. The alliance received 1.74% of the vote in the state election on September 20, and thus did not achieve a mandate in the Vorarlberg state parliament .

National Council election 2017

In the 2017 National Council election , the party ran in Vorarlberg .
