New Present - magazine for media journalism
Neue Gegenwart is a multi-award-winning German online magazine for media journalism that Björn Brückerhoff has been publishing since July 4, 1998. Until January 31, 2006 it was entitled “The Present. Online magazine for media journalism ”. It will appear every three months from 2006 onwards.
The magazine deals with media topics in monothematic issues. In each issue, authors publish their media-critical reports, essays and glosses from the fields of politics, society, science, business, culture and abroad. The focus is on media journalism. In each issue, experts from science or practice have their say who assess the topic from their specialist areas.
On June 22, 2004, publisher and founder Björn Brückerhoff received the Grimme Online Award for online journalistic quality for his magazine , on March 2, 2004 he received the Gold Lead Award , and on March 9, 2005 the Lead Award in silver.
