The New Church Maglarp (Swedish: Maglarps nya kyrka ) was built in 1907/1908 neo-Gothic church in the parish Hammarlöv in the municipality of Trelleborg ( southern Sweden ). It was inaugurated on July 17, 1909.

The New Church Maglarp was on a hill outside the surrounding villages in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea . This choice of location ended the decades-long deliberations on a new building that had recently been called into question as unnecessary. The new church of Maglarp was the last church built in Scania in the neo-Gothic style. However, the constant salty wind soon caused structural damage .

The church was last used regularly in 1976. Afterwards, the services took place again in the previously renovated old church of Maglarp, which dates from the Middle Ages . From 1980 an attempt was made to get a demolition permit for the building, but in 1999 the provincial government decided against demolition. The parish Hammarlöv sued against this, but was defeated in the first two instances. The highest authority finally decided in the interests of the community. So in 2005 the demolition was decided and started in September 2007. The discussion about the demolition of a church received attention across Sweden.

During the demolition, a copper box was found that contained a handwritten letter from a pastor from 1907 as well as coins and a number of newspapers. The letter gave, among other things, information about the construction costs of the church in the amount of 71,000 crowns, which corresponds to a current value of 3.1 million SEK .
