The New Main Bridge Lohr is a 417 meter long structure in Lohr am Main ( Lower Franconia ). The road bridge spans the Main north of the old town and is part of the State Road 2435, which leads from Lohr via Wiesenfeld to Karlstadt .
The prestressed concrete bridge , inaugurated in 1975, is curved in plan and elevation and, as a structural system, has the continuous beam in the longitudinal direction . The span for the seven-span road overpass is 38.1 m + 70.0 m + 110.0 m + 80.0 m + 2 × 42.0 m + 35.0 m, which results in a total span of 417.1 m. In the transverse direction, the 13.5 m wide superstructure is designed as a single-cell hollow box cross-section with a haunched construction height. In the middle of the stream opening, the construction height is 3.0 m, roughly half the height above the river pillars. The prestressing consists of internal tendons in the longitudinal and transverse directions .
The preparation of the current field and the two subsequent fields foreshore carried in cantilever , bridge the remaining fields have sections with a falsework concreted.
The bridge was renovated from July 11, 2011 to July 27, 2012. The lane width was reduced from 8.00 m to 7.50 m. There were two lanes of 3.25 m each and two safety lanes in front of the curbs of 0.50 m each, as well as combined footpaths and cycle paths on both sides each with a width of 3.00 m.
