The NEUE Vorarlberger Tageszeitung (NEUE for short) is a daily newspaper published in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg . As one of the very few daily newspapers in the world, it appears from Tuesday to Sunday and is closed on Mondays. On Sunday, when there is no comparable competing product, the circulation reaches 45,000 pieces. The NEUE has a format based on DIN A4, the sports section is removable.
history
The NEUE was founded in 1972 as an alternative to Vorarlberg's monopoly dominant daily Vorarlberger Nachrichten (VN). In 1990, however, Russmedia Verlag GmbH (formerly Vorarlberger Medienhaus) bought the NEUE. Since the mid-1990s, the two editorial offices have been operating under the same roof in the media house in Schwarzach . There, the NEUE and the UN are strictly separated from one another in terms of space and personnel. The two newspapers are in editorial competition with one another. The synergies on the advertising market and the distribution channel are used.
reporting
The NEUE Vorarlberger Tageszeitung has a close cooperation with the Styrian Kleine Zeitung. This provides the NEUE with the contributions to Austria-wide topics (especially domestic politics). The NEUE researches the local topics itself. State politics, economy, sport, culture and chronicle form the focus of the reporting. There is plenty of space for regional reports, as well as the introduction of start-ups and company portraits. The policy is to focus on the people in Vorarlberg, with their working and living environment.
Side dishes
The “kick-off football planner” appears in the NEUE at the beginning of the football season. It introduces the Vorarlberg soccer clubs in the Tipico Bundesliga, Sky Go Erste Liga and the Regionalliga West. From the Vorarlberg league down to the second regional class, all teams are in the "kick-off football planner". In addition to the team photo and the names of the squad players, the booklet also shows entries and exits, chairman, coach, sporting director and season goal of the respective club.
The magazine "GartenLust" is enclosed with the NEUE three times a year. The topics are garden maintenance, the local flora and fauna and aesthetic living. Seasonal tips and tricks are also given. "GartenLust" is a collaboration between NEUE and the Vorarlberg gardeners and florists' guild.
NEW Flora Gala
NEUE am Sonntag organizes a national competition once a year. At the NEUE Flora Gala, the most beautiful gardens in the state of Vorarlberg are awarded by a jury. Gardeners can apply in the categories of utility, farmer's and guest gardens, flower arrangements, green oases in the company and the somewhat different garden. In addition to the winners of the individual categories, on the evening of the award ceremony, a winning community (2014: St. Gallenkirch; 2013: Silbertal; 2012: Gaschurn) will be awarded the Flora Rose for flower arrangements and gardens in the local area.
