Neuenhammer was an equestrian center in the area of ​​today's town of Stolberg (Rhld.) In the district of Vicht near the Platenhammer . It was founded in 1724 by the two brothers Leonhard Hoesch (1684–1761) and (Philipp) Wilhelm (1686–1756), sons of Wilhelm Hoesch (1642–1704) and Margaretha Schardinel (1646–1724) and grandsons of the first Reidemeister of the family Hoesch , Jeremias Hoesch , erected on Platenhammer. Later it was supplemented by Leonhard with residential and farm buildings and operated jointly with the Platenhammer riding company as an extended courtyard.

While the Platenhammer was passed on to the descendants of Philipp Wilhelm, the Neuenhammer passed on to Ludolf's fourth son, Jeremias VI. Hoesch (1737-1803) about. His son Leonhard Wilhelm Ludolf Hoesch (1784–1851) began as a Reidemeister on the Neuenhammer, but soon moved to Wuppertal as an iron manufacturer . Due to the marriage of his sister Elisabeth (1773-1824) to the owner of the Platenhammer, Philipp Wilhelm II. Hoesch (1766-1823), the Neuenhammer was operated and administered together with the Platenhammer until about the middle of the 18th century.
