New Jewish Cemetery (Horstmar)

The New Jewish Cemetery Horstmar is located in the town of Horstmar in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia . In the Jewish cemetery , which is located in the northeast corner of the communal cemetery on Hagenstiege and was occupied from 1927 to 1935, five gravestones have been preserved.

Old Jewish Cemetery

There are no more gravestones on the old Jewish cemetery at Borghorster Weg and at the corner of Bahnhofstrasse, which was occupied from 1849 to 1925. This cemetery was closed in 1925 and sold by the city in 1941. In the 1950s the site was paved .

Jewish cemetery on the city wall

There are no more gravestones on the former Jewish cemetery on Stadtwall, which was occupied until 1845. This cemetery, which was on the right-hand side of the southeast side of the cathedral gate and was the property of the city, was closed in 1845 because it was too close to the urban settlement. In 1890 part of the land was leased from the city.
