The twenty-nine (29) is the natural number between twenty-eight and thirty . It is odd and a prime number .

29 is the tenth prime number. It forms a prime twin along with thirty-one . Twenty-nine is also the sixth Sophie Germain prime . It is the smallest prime number that is the sum of three consecutive squares, 2 2 + 3 2 + 4 2 . It's a Lucas prime , a Pell prime , and a Tetranacci number . It is an Eisenstein prime number without an imaginary part and with a real part of the form 3n - 1. 29 is also the tenth supersingular prime number .

None of the first 29 natural numbers has more than two different prime factors. This is the longest sequence of consecutive numbers with this property.

29 is a Markoff number , element of one of the solutions of x ² + y ² + z ² = 3 xyz : {2, 5, 29}, {2, 29, 169}, {5, 29, 433}, {29 , 169, 14701} etc.

29 is the next higher Perrin number after 12, 17 and 22 .
