The Neuss Building Association AG is a housing association based in Neuss ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ). It currently manages (as of December 15, 2017) a total of 6,788 apartments and 859 houses in Neuss, making it the largest provider of apartments in the Rhine district of Neuss . The city of Neuss is the main shareholder with 99.8 percent of the shares .

history

On August 1st, 1891, the Neusser Gemeinnützige Bauverein AG was founded at the instigation of the then District Administrator Clemens Freiherr von Schorlemer with the aim of procuring cheap and healthy apartments.

In 1990 the Modernes Neuss Grundstücks- und Bau-GmbH was founded, which is a subsidiary of the Neusser Bauverein AG. It is active in the property development sector and has already built over 1,400 houses and apartments as well as brokered numerous properties. The building association is planning a further 1000 new affordable rental apartments for the coming years.
