The New Mexico State Route 3 ( NM 3 for short ) is a state route in the US state of New Mexico that runs in a north-south direction.

The State Route begins on US Highway 54 in Duran and ends 117 kilometers north of Ribera on Interstate 25 .

From Duran NM 3 runs in a northerly direction and meets the west of Encino on US Highways 60 and 285 . Halfway between Encino and Villanueva , the State Route passes Interstate 40 . In the south of Villanueva it passes the Villanueva State Park . After a total of 117 kilometers, the road ends at the joint route of Interstate 25 with US Highways 84 and 85 .
