The New Mexico State Route 61 ( NM 61 for short ) is a state route in the US state of New Mexico that runs in a north-south direction.
The State Route begins on US Highway 180 southwest of the City of Rocks State Park and ends 40 kilometers south of San Lorenzo on New Mexico State Route 152 .
After about ten kilometers, the NM 61 passes the village of Old Town in a south-easterly direction .
