The New People's Liberation Movement is a party in Montserrat .

It stands in the tradition of the People's Liberation Movement , which ruled the island nation between 1978 and 1991 under the leadership of John Osborne . The party at that time was part of the People's Progressive Alliance in 1996 , which together with the Movement of National Reconstruction in 1997 founded the current party.

In the 2001 parliamentary elections she received 51.0 percent of the vote and thus seven out of nine seats on the Legislative Council. Osborne, who is also the head of the new party, then became Chief Minister. When the next election was held in May 2006, only 29.4 percent voted for the New People's Liberation Movement. This meant that the party only had three seats in parliament and Osborne had to hand over his office to Lowell Lewis .
