Lowell Lewis
Lowell Lyttleton Lewis (born August 18, 1952 ) is a Montserrat politician and former Chief Minister of Montserrat .
He is one of the founders of the Montserrat Democratic Party (MDP), which he leads today, and has already held various government offices.
Lewis was Chief Minister from June 2, 2006 to September 10, 2009. He led a coalition made up of the MDP, the New People's Liberation Movement (NPLM) and an independent MP and was also Minister for Tourism. One of his stated goals was to stimulate tourism in Montserrat after the island was devastated by volcanic eruptions in the 1990s.
