The New York State Route 170 ( NY 170 ) is a 11.80 km long north-south running state route in Herkimer County , New York , in the United States. It begins on NY 29 in Fairfield and ends on NY 169 in Little Falls . The only other intersection with a signposted State Route is the NY 170A, a branch route within Fairfield. NY 170 was created in 1930 and has remained unchanged since.
Route description
NY 170 begins as East Monroe Street in Little Falls, at the intersection of North Ann Street and West Monroe Street, which crosses NY 169 . The route initially runs in an easterly direction along the northern edge of Little Falls, before turning north after about 800 m and climbing a steep hill. She then passes the local golf course and leaves the city area. In Fairfield , the NY 170 branches off its branch line, the NY 170A, before the NY 170 ends at the junction with NY 29 .

The entire course of NY 170 was determined as part of the renumbering of State Routes in New York in 1930 . A branch line was designated as NY 170A in the Fairfield area a year later.
