New Zealand Muslim Association

The New Zealand Muslim Association is the oldest Islamic organization in New Zealand and was founded in Auckland in 1950 . She built New Zealand's first Islamic house in 1959.

In 1979 the company built the first mosque in New Zealand. The architect of the house of God, Abdul Salaam Drake, was a New Zealander who converted to Islam.

The main community leaders of the society are the members of the Bhikhoo family from Gujarat in India and the Albanian refugees Mazhar Krasniqi and Nazmi Mehmeti.
