The company, which was founded in 1993 by Vllaznim Xhiha and Filippo Marbach, has subsidiaries in nine other countries and in 2009 achieved sales of 78.1 million Swiss francs with 182 employees. Since July 2007 until the takeover by the ABB Group in 2012, Newave Energy Holding was listed on the Swiss stock exchange SIX Swiss Exchange listed . On February 27, 2012, the company was integrated into ABB Switzerland AG.
