  • The Catholic Church of St. Patrick was built between 1914 and 1918 according to designs by the architect Rudolf Maximilian Butler and consecrated on September 8, 1918 by Archbishop Thomas P. Gilmartin. The architectural style takes up elements of the Irish Romanesque, in particular the west portal is reminiscent of that of Clonfert . It is regarded as Butler's most important work and houses one of Harry Clarke's last works , the three-part stained glass window on the east side with a depiction of the Last Judgment, of which Clarke was only able to complete the right part due to his illness.
