The Newquay Zoo is a zoological garden in Newquay ( Cornwall , England ). It is located on an area of about 5.2 hectares in Trenance Leisure Park and cooperates with the Paignton Zoo and the Living Coasts project, with which it is part of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust .
Livestock
The Newquay Zoo is home to over 130 animal species and is involved in various breeding programs, including for crested monkeys ( Macaca nigra ), Visayas pustular pigs ( Sus cebifrons ) and spotted rollers ( Chrotogale owstoni ).
Awards
Newquay Zoo has won various awards as a tourist attraction and as a green company, including the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) Gold Award, the Cornwall Sustainability Award and the 2010 Silver Cornwall Tourism Awards for Sustainable Tourism.
