Nexperia is a global supplier of discrete components , logic components and MOSFETs . The company is an outsourced unit of NXP Semiconductors , which was sold to a Chinese consortium in summer 2016 . The company has been operating independently since the beginning of 2017. Nexperia produces over 90 billion semiconductor components annually and describes itself as a world leader in the manufacture of diodes, transistors and ESD protection elements. The market share in the field of discrete semiconductor components is around 14%.
Nexperia supplies companies (predominantly automotive and consumer ) and employs more than 11,000 people in Asia , Europe and the USA .
