Ngọc Hạ

Ngọc Hạ (born December 23, 1980 in Hội An as Nguyễn Kim Tuyến ) is an American singer of Vietnamese origin .

Life

Ngọc Hạ was born in 1980 as the youngest of seven children of a Vietnamese working-class family. In 1986 the family moved to Đồng Nai Province . Some time later, Ngọc Hạ went to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to study singing . In March 2000 she moved to San Francisco (USA), but now lives in San José .

Ngọc Hạ became known in 2002 as a participant in the Vietnamese musical show Paris by Night . In 2006, Ngọc Hạ decided to pursue a solo career. She interprets nhạc tiền chiến , a Vietnamese style of music .
