The Ngonye Falls , also Siomafälle , the Sambesi are about 250 km above the Victoria Falls in the West Province in Zambia to 1002  m height.

description

The Ngonye Falls are difficult to reach and, at 10–25 m high, not nearly as spectacular as the Victoria Falls, which were created by the same geological faults as them. However, they form an almost perfect semicircle over basalt rocks, the width of which is impressive. Another special feature is that the water not only rushes over the rocks, but also below them, because they are full of caverns. Standing on them is a very special feeling, especially hearing the water thunder and rage there. Above the Ngonye Falls the Zambezi is wide and flat, below them full of white water rapids in the basalt-cut canyons.

Nearby is the Sioma Ngweizi National Park . The nearby town of Sioma has an airstrip.
