Nicholaus Arson (born January 26, 1977 in Fagersta , Sweden ; born Niklas Almqvist ) is a Swedish lead guitarist and background singer.

Life

Arson is a member of the Swedish garage punk group The Hives and he is the older brother of Pelle Almqvist , the group's lead singer.

Arson and his brother Pelle formed the group in 1993 because of an article in the New Musical Express and an article in the files of the Swedish secret police describing the name Randy Fitzsimmons as a pseudonym of Nicholaus Arson, and because the group keeps explaining Having said that Randy Fitzsimmons was the band's promoter, funder, and songwriter, many believed that all of these functions were performed by Nicholaus Arson. The group that wants to maintain the myth about the character Randy Fitzsimmons denies this.

Arson is known for his creativity and his unusual activities on stage. He often plays the guitar with the windmill technique that made Pete Townshend , guitarist and songwriter for the legendary rock band The Who , famous, and often dances a recurring two-step , that is, he moves one step to the left and a step to the right, which is reminiscent of a robot. Arson plays a Fender Telecaster almost exclusively , usually in black and / or white, the only colors used by the group.
