Nicky Vitolio Salapu (born September 13, 1980 in American Samoa ) is an American-Samoan football goalkeeper .

Career

In the club

Salapu played for Pansa East FC in his homeland between 2000 and 2008 . With the club he was American-Samoan champion four times in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005 . In 2008 he moved to the Austrian amateur club SC Mauerbach . In August 2009 he left SC Mauerbach at short notice and switched to Pago Youth on loan until the winter break . After three years in Austria with Mauerbach, Salapu returned permanently to American Samoa and signed for PanSa East . After three months for PanSa East, Salapu moved again abroad and signed on November 20, 2011 with the Indonesian club Mitra Kukar FC. In the summer of 2013 he turned his back on Indonesia and moved back to American Samoa, where he now plays for Panza West FC.

In the national team

On April 11, 2001 Salapu conceded 31 goals in the international match against Australia . He holds a world record to this day . In the eight international matches for his home country, the goalkeeper conceded a total of 91 goals.
