Nico Müller (born November 2, 1993 in Mosbach ) is a German weightlifter .

Career

At the age of seven, Müller competed in weightlifting for the first time.

In 2016 he took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In the class up to 77 kilograms, he took tenth place.

At the European Weightlifting Championships in 2018 , he surprisingly won gold medals in the Olympic duel as well as in pushing in the class up to 77 kg. In the duel he reached a total of 346 kilograms and in jerking 191 kilograms were enough for a gold medal. With this, Müller set his previous personal best in pushing. He finished fourth in the tear.
