Nicolaskerk in Haren, Romanesque and Gothic

The Nicolaaskerk in Haren in the Dutch province of Groningen is a brick building . It is used by the Hervormde Gemeente Haren-Onnen, which is part of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands .

history

The construction began in the 12th century in Romanesque style and was completed in the 13th century in the Romano-Gothic transition style. The tower burned down several times and was then replaced each time. A thorough restoration of the building took place in 1914.

Furnishing

A pulpit clock is attached to the pulpit from 1725 (with sound cover ) .

The organ was built in 1776 by Albertus Antonius Hinsz . It was restored in 2002.

The bell dates from 1698.
