Low German Contributions to Art History is a magazine with contributions to the art history of Northern Germany and, in particular, Lower Saxony . The annual volumes founded by the art historians Ferdinand Stuttmann and Gert von der Osten contain, according to their subtitle, above all contributions to art and history that are conveyed by the Landesmuseum Hannover , the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum in Braunschweig and the Landesmuseum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte Oldenburg . The periodical was published from 1961, first in Cologne by the art book publisher EA Seemann , then in Munich and Berlin by the Deutscher Kunstverlag .

After an interruption in the years 2007 to 2014, the articles recorded under ISSN 0078-0537 appear again as a new episode with volume 1 in Petersberg's Michael Imhof Verlag .
