The Dutch krona is a krona in the Netherlands .

The crown was in 1840 for the Dutch royal I. Wilhelm the proclamation made. The successor Wilhelm II and the subsequent kings decided not to wear the crown, but it was placed on a special table during the ceremony when the proclamation was made. The crown was worn at various royal funerals. In 1888, 24 of the 74 pearls attached to the crown were removed for the proclamation of Queen Wilhelmina . The crown has not been changed since that time. Until 1963 the crown was part of the royal property. Thereafter the crown became part of a royal foundation controlled by the Dutch royal family, which also includes the other items from the Dutch Crown Jewels .
